Current composition

01Layer 1 acts first. Each Step synchronously replaces only the active layer, then hands the next turn to the other.
02Layer 0 applies B3/S; Layer 1 applies B3/S48. Each uses its own current state to choose birth or survival.
03Each aligned living neighbor on the frozen layer adds 75% of a point to the active layer's eight-cell Moore count.
04The weighted total rounds to the nearest integer. Exact halves round down, then match an effective rule count from 0 through 16.
